At the recent stakeholder meeting hosted by Global Snus, policymakers, and industry representatives came together to examine current developments in Lithuania and the wider EU context.
The discussion highlighted a shared challenge across Member States: how to move from fragmented approaches toward more structured, proportionate, and evidence-informed frameworks for modern oral nicotine products.
Sessions focused on market realities, regulatory divergence, and the need for clearer policy direction as the category continues to develop. Contributions from European policymakers and experts reinforced the importance of aligning regulation with both public health objectives and real-world use patterns.
As reflected in the agenda, the dialogue also emphasized the role of cross-border cooperation, stakeholder engagement, and forward-looking policy design.
